Alpine Icon Reimagined: The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel
Gstaad, Switzerland
Nestled in the prestigious alpine village of Gstaad, Switzerland, The Park Gstaad — soon to be re-branded as The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel — prepares for its transformation into one of Europe’s most anticipated luxury hotels.
A Heritage Location with a New Vision
Originally opened in 1910 as Gstaad’s first five-star hotel, The Park Gstaad has long held a place in alpine luxury hospitality. Under the management of Four Seasons and ownership by philanthropist and investor Dona Bertarelli, the property is undergoing comprehensive refurbishment led by Squircle Capital and Joseph Dirand. The reopening is targeted for the 2026-2027 winter season, making it a landmark destination for the luxury traveller.
Accommodation & Design Highlights
Upon completion, the hotel will offer 75 rooms and suites, including a collection of Penthouse Residences available for purchase, managed by Four Seasons.
The design approach with Joseph Dirand is modern and refined, yet respectful of alpine heritage — blending sleek luxury with traditional mountain charm and the storied architecture of the original hotel.
Facilities & Experiences
As previewed, the resort will feature:
• A destination spa and fitness centre with indoor and outdoor pools.
• Food and beverage venues including multiple restaurants and bars, with F-&-B concepts tailored to the alpine setting.
• Year-round activity options: ski and bike services, tennis court, kids club (“Kids for All Seasons”), and even an outdoor ice rink for the winter season.
Why Stay Here (When It Opens)
• For those wanting a luxury ski resort with the pedigree of Four Seasons and the charm of Gstaad.
• For travellers who value heritage architecture + modern luxury, in a renowned alpine destination.
• For guests seeking a base for both winter sports and summer mountain adventures, with high-end amenities, design and service.
• For savvy planners willing to book ahead for the first wave of this much-buzzed-about alpine opening.
